LVP flooring in Palm Harbor, FL from RCI Flooring

Best way to clean LVP flooring

Luxury vinyl flooring is known for low maintenance. It needs only regular sweeping and periodic mopping.

Vinyl plank (LVP) is one form cut into longboards to mimic hardwood. It is also cut into square, tile-sized pieces (LVT), used primarily for stone and tile echoes.

A little TLC is needed!

Sweeping your luxury vinyl flooring several times a week is a must. The dirt and soil are sharp.
It can embed between the boards and pit and scratch your floors.

Use a well-wrung mop

The best cleaner to use on vinyl plank flooring comes right from your pantry. Use one cup of white or apple cider vinegar to one gallon of water.

The vinegar has enough acidity to remove any dirt and stains but not so much that it will damage the floor. It also won't leave a film.

There are also many good commercial products. However, be sure they are alkaline and not acidic. Follow manufacturer instructions in the warranty carefully to keep your LVP flooring in top shape.

Avoid waxy, shine-promoting cleaners. The latter will damage the finish and dull the floors. If you feel you need more shine, seek the advice of a flooring expert.

Removing stubborn stains

Stains can be easily removed, usually with a baking soda/water paste. But, again, the warranty or a flooring expert can give you additional advice if you need it.
